Infant/Toddler Community
Calaveras Montessori School offers parents the security of knowing that their children are receiving the best care and developmental guidance available. Our goal is to nurture a healthy child: independent, self confident, social and motivated.
Philosophy
Calaveras Montessori School is an enriched environment in which children can grow to fulfill their individual potential.
Our School believes in the "whole child" approach to development. Activities promote the development of social skills, emotional growth, and physical coordination as well as cognitive preparation for young children.
The Infant/Toddler Community is seperated by Non-Mobile Infant and Mobile Infant - Toddler. The staff follows each non-mobile infant’s own biological and psychological rhythms for sleeping, eating and movement. As they move towards mobile infant and toddler they start to develop a sense of individuality and independence with an inner drive to explore and discover their environment. Our staff interacts with each child constantly, paying attention to all of their individual needs. We also have a web camera in place so that you may check in on your child through out the day.

11:00 – 11:15am Transition Inside
11:15 – 11:30am Circle / Diapering

12:00 – 12:15pm Transition to Rest Period
12:15 – 2:00pm Rest Period / Diapering

2:00 – 2:30pm Snack
2:30 – 3:00pm Outside Playtime
3:00 – 3:15pm Transition Inside
3:15 – 3:30pm Music & Movement
3:30 – 4:00pm Reading & Work Period
4:00 – 4:30pm Circle (M, W, F) or Art (Tu & Th) /
Diapering (or intro to toileting)
4:30 – 5:00pm Snack
5:00 – 6:00pm After School

a Please keep in mind that we are beginning to introduce the structure of a schedule so times may vary
a Diapers are changed every 2hrs unless needed sooner
a Outside playtime is subject to weather permitting
